The short version: We collect only what we need to run TradeDesk. We never sell your data. Your information is stored securely on Google Cloud infrastructure. You can request full deletion of your account and data at any time.
1. Who we are
TradeDesk is a job management platform built for Australian tradies. Our contact email is hello@tradedesk.com.au.
2. What data we collect
We collect the following information when you use TradeDesk:
- Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash)
- Business information — business name, ABN, licence number, address, phone number, and logo
- Job and client data — job details, client contact information, quotes, invoices, and job notes you create inside the app
- Payment information — billing details are handled directly by Stripe. We do not store your full card number or payment credentials
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and actions taken inside the app, used to improve the product
- Voice recordings — if you use the AI job notes feature, audio is temporarily processed to generate your job report, then immediately discarded. We do not retain voice recordings
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to:
- Provide and operate the TradeDesk service
- Send you transactional emails (invoices, receipts, reminders you configure)
- Improve the product based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Where your data is stored
All TradeDesk data is stored on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, hosted via Replit. Google Cloud maintains ISO 27001, SOC 2, and SOC 3 certifications. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS encryption.
We perform daily automated backups of all account data. Backups are retained for 30 days.
Data is stored in Australian or US-based Google Cloud regions. We do not transfer your data to countries outside of Australia or the United States.
5. We do not sell your data
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data is yours. Period.
6. Third parties we share data with
We share limited data with the following trusted service providers, only as necessary to operate TradeDesk:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Google Cloud / Replit — infrastructure and hosting
- OpenAI — AI job note generation (job descriptions only, no personal client data)
- Resend / similar — transactional email delivery
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other parties.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — request a full export of everything we hold about you
- Correct your data — update any inaccurate information from within the app
- Delete your data — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data (see section 8)
- Data portability — export your clients, jobs, quotes, and invoices in CSV format from the app at any time
8. How to request data deletion
To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@tradedesk.com.au with the subject line "Data deletion request" from the email address associated with your account.
We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm once complete. After deletion, your data cannot be recovered. Note that we may be required to retain certain transactional records for up to 7 years to comply with Australian tax law.
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children's privacy
TradeDesk is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you via email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of TradeDesk after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
